This letter is overdue. Many times as consumers we are very quick to complain or write about things that we deem as an aggravation to us. Looking at the state of our nation, it would appear as if we have become a society full of complainers. And it seems to be a rarity that we will take time out of our busy schedules to write about something or someone worthy of some accolades.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend you and your staff for your great work ethics. Unfortunately in an automotive shop that is a rarity. You came highly recommended by a friend of mine, _____, for your excellent work. On Tuesday, January 3, 2012 I was leaving a place of business and was going to the dealership where I originally purchased my vehicle to have a routine oil change but heard a very disturbing noise in the rear of my car that alarmed me. I immediately called my friend to obtain your exact location because I was not close to my dealership.

When I got to your shop and after you inspected my vehicle you informed me that my rear and front brakes were literally gone and needed to be replaced. You escorted me to the work area where my car was elevated to show me the proof and thoroughly explained what needed to be replaced regarding my brakes. After you informed me of the cost to perform all that needed to be done regarding my brakes, it was quite a ‘shocker” in a good way. I knew the price you quoted me had not been exaggerated but was very reasonable for the work that needed to be done.

It was refreshing to me as a woman to walk in an auto shop and be treated with respect, courtesy and have the work done on my car correctly without being charged an astronomical amount of money. I thank you and your staff for a job well done and for going the extra mile to ensure the work done on my brakes was thorough. Keep standing out as a professional with high standards.

I just finished a very positive review of your shop on Yelp. We have taken our car into your shop twice and have been completely impressed with the service we receive. As you might imagine, those of us seeking car repair approach these situations with our guards up and guns drawn. I want to express my appreciation for the ‘little guy’ who stands up and commits himself and his shop to providing honest, quality service. I’m sad that it is such a rarity and I’m glad I have found the needle in the haystack. Keep up the great work and know that we are so grateful you do!!

Called Joe early morning, we were leaving to drive to California and the car wouldn't start. Said he was totally booked up but would do his best to see the car immediately. He arranged for a nearby tow truck to fetch the car. By 10 am we had an estimate, he said the car would be ready by 4pm. Even though a part had to be sent from Milwaukee, we were on the road by 4:20 that afternoon. He was terrific. The car went from Chicago to San Diego in 3 days without a hitch. Two other companies had seen the car that week and both had replaced other things, but none thought to check the starter properly. So we wonder how much money we wasted before Joe made the correct diagnosis. We loved the way he realized this was an urgent situation (we had kids to meet in San Diego) and made a real EFFORT to help us. Couldn't say enough good things about his skills and his attitude. A privately-owned company, and we could tell.

Dealing with Joe was such a pleasure! The mechanic I'd been using for a year closed up shop and I needed to have my brakes checked or repaired. A friend of a friend recommended Joe's. Over the years whenever I've had to deal with mechanics it has been a chore. Most of them treat women with at best a touch of condescension. I was prepared for another runaround but was pleasantly surprised. Joe explained everything to me that he saw the car needed to have done immediately. In the course of dealing with me, other customers came in to pick up their cars and I became aware that this was indeed a special shop with really helpful mechanics. Best of all, was the personal attention people were given.

They were very responsive over the phone and took my car immediately. Joe followed up with me several times to let me know the status and what the costs were going to be. The work wound up taking a little longer than they had expected, but they offered me a rental car at no charge so I would not be inconvenienced. They did a great job and everything is working the way it should now. The job was done well and I felt they were resonable and accomodating. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I took it to another shop which said that there was a lot of work that needed to be done. When I took the car to Joe's, they looked at it for an hour and a half, said nothing needed to be worked on, and did not charge me for that. I didn't think there were people around like that anymore!

We had a great experience with Joe. He's honest, friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. He took a lot of time to explain exactly what needed to be fixed and why. He gave us great advice and was extremely trustworthy. We will never go anywhere else again.

We're very pleased with our experience at Joe's. All the employees were professional and friendly. Joe took the time to explain what would be done to the car and why, even taking us back to the garage to show us how the rotors had been damaged. He provided an accurate estimate for the work and went over the final bill in detail. A very honest shop.

After frustrated repairs with another mechanic who charged me lots of $$$ and never fixed my cars I was recommended by 2 different persons that did not know each other . I took my car to his shop and after making a great evaluation Joe's auto repair found the problem and fixed it . Joe not only repaired my car, he also took his time to explain to me all problems related to my vehicle. Also, the price was right and the most important thing was that he gave me a sense of trust that was hard to find in most of the mechanics or shops that a visited before . I strongly recommend Joe's auto repair. Finally I found the right place to fix my cars. Finally I found a repair shop that I can trust!
